Anthony P. Sgro

After law school, Mr. Sgro moved back to Las Vegas and began practicing in the area of criminal defense. Shortly thereafter, he became "death qualified" and his work became concentrated in the defense of those charged with capital murder offences. In June of 1996, he merged his firm with that of attorney Dean R. Patti Esq. His practice grew over the years and he used his trial skills to branch out into other areas of the law. He has now tried in excess of 100 jury trials. Since 1996, he has successfully tried cases in all areas of the law, including in the area of personal injury, where he has obtained several jury verdicts in excess of $500,000.00. Most notably, Mr. Sgro secured the largest "slip and fall" personal injury verdict ever awarded against the Walgreens corporation. As a result of his application of his litigation and trial skills with equal success in the civil arena, he has now added to his repertoire the representation of businesses at the local, State and national level.

Mr. Sgro's success likely stems from the diversity in his background. He has worked in construction, been a waiter, a butcher, a manager and has performed as a professional musician. He speaks Italian and Spanish, and has a family of 5.
